Kathy Sabadosa, Senior Research Director at The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice, Lebanon, New Hampshire, executes the national quality improvement initiative for the U.S. Cystic Fibrosis Foundation by engaging health care professionals, parents, and individuals with CF at accredited sites. Since 2003 she has published quality improvement resources, led benchmarking efforts to explore best practice, developed and participated in implementation of a national survey to capture the patient and family experience of care, and co-authored clinical care practice guidelines and related manuscripts. She currently directs the Dartmouth Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Coproduction of CF Care Pilot Program and serves as an advisor to Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center CF Learning Network. Joining the research faculty at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth in 2000, Ms. Sabadosa served as a programmer and database manager for the Northern New England Cardiovascular Disease Study Group. She has also held positions as an analyst and programmer at Tufts Health Plans, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Vermont. She started her career in public health with the U.S. Peace Corps as an associate director of maternal and child health programs in the Central African Republic and Chad. Kathy is a parent of an adult with CF.
