Kelly Sakellaris graduated from The Ohio State University with her bachelor's and master's degrees in allied health and medical professions with a focus in clinical nutrition. In graduate school she began to work as a dietitian in the cystic fibrosis clinic at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, working with both pediatric and adult patients. She conducted research on the topic of Cystic Fibrosis and Pregnancy for her master's thesis. After graduating in 2011, she has worked full-time as a dietitian in cystic fibrosis and lung transplant at Nationwide Children's Hospital and has continued to be involved in research projects including CF infant nutrition and growth parameters, nutrition and ECMO while awaiting lung transplantation, dental health and nutrition in pediatric CF patients, and cystic fibrosis related diabetes. She has attended NACFC for the last 4 years and has presented posters on research projects and led round tables on the topic of CF and Pregnancy. This year she is presenting her research titled 'Comparison of Oral Glucose Tolerance Test With Modified Mixed Meal Tolerance Test in Patients With Cystic Fibrosis' during the CFRD workshop.
