Eric Sorscher M.D.

Dr. Sorscher has maintained a research focus on cystic fibrosis (CF) related science and clinical intervention for more than 20 years. He has contributed to studies of cellular and molecular biology describing aminoglycoside suppression of CFTR truncation alleles, clinical significance of mild CFTR mutations and the bioelectric phenotype, acquired loss of CFTR function in vivo, and mechanisms underlying activation of CFTR by potentiator and corrector compounds. His laboratory focuses on aspects of CF molecular pathogenesis and emerging experimental therapeutics. He currently co-chairs the International CFTR Folding Consortium.
