Dr Edward Nash is Consultant Respiratory Physician at the West Midlands Adult CF Centre based at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, UK and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in the School of Clinical and Experimental Medicine at the University of Birmingham Medical School, UK. He trained in respiratory medicine in Bristol, UK and during his training spent 12 months as Clinical and Research Fellow in Toronto, Canada. As part of this fellowship he worked as Lung Transplant fellow at Toronto General Hospital, University Health Network, Toronto, Canada. He is currently research lead at the West Midlands Adult CF Centre and is PI for several commercial and non-commercial studies. He was lead author and is now co-author for the Cochrane Collaboration systematic review 'Nebulized and oral thiol derivatives for pulmonary disease in cystic fibrosis' and has been awarded NIHR funding for a study assessing he potential benefits of home monitoring in adults with CF. His ongoing interests are in clinical research aimed at improving the lives of people with CF.
