Albert Faro M.D.

Dr. Albert Faro just recently accepted the position of Senior Director of Clinical Affairs at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Prior to this he was Professor of Pediatrics at Washington University in St. Louis where he co-directed the CF Therapeutics Development Center (TDC) and implemented several different quality improvement initiatives. He has also served as a coach for other TDCs. Dr. Faro's clinical interests include CF, lung transplantation and flexible airway endoscopy (FAE). He chaired the committee responsible for the American Thoracic Society's technical standards for FAE in children. Dr. Faro was one of the founding members of the International Pediatric Lung Transplant Collaborative and its first President.
