Bryan Hurley Ph.D.

I am a Principal Investigator within the Mucosal Immunology & Biology Research Center (MIBRC) at the Massachusetts General Hospital for Children (MGHfC). I manage a research program focused on understanding how the mucosal immune system confronts external threats. A particular interest of my laboratory is deciphering the molecular mechanisms that facilitate neutrophil trans-epithelial migration across mucosal barriers in the context of pathogenic infection or as a consequence of mucosal auto-inflammatory disease. My laboratory is funded through grants from the National Institutes of Health, multiple non-profit organizations, and collaborations with industry. In addition to my research activities, I serve as Director of an NIDDK funded educational program to provide research training experiences for undergraduates and medical students during the summer months.
