Alexandra L. Quittner Ph.D.

Dr. Alexandra L. Quittner has been a professor and behavioral scientist for the past 30 years. Throughout her career, she has conducted clinical research in CF and other chronic respiratory diseases and has been continuously funded by NIH, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and other funding agencies. She has published over 200 articles and received 2 Lifetime Achievement Awards from the CF Foundation: for the development of the CFQ-R, the first disease-specific health-related quality of life measure for CF and for her research on mental health screening and its dissemination. Recently, she was the Co-PI of the iCARE study, a randomized controlled trial at 18 CF Centers to improve adherence to prescribed therapies, enrolling over 600 adolescents with CF.
