Professor of Gene Therapy & Respiratory Medicine/Honorary Consultant Physician, National Heart & Lung Institute

Eric is Professor of Gene Therapy and Respiratory Medicine at Imperial College, London and an Honorary Consultant Physician at the Royal Brompton Hospital. Over the last 15 years he has coordinated the UK Cystic Fibrosis Gene Therapy Consortium, which brings together all the key centres in the UK (Edinburgh and Oxford Universities and Imperial College, London) in a programme to deliver gene therapy for these patients. He was Director of the NIHR Respiratory Biomedical Research Unit at the Royal Brompton/Imperial College for 9 years, and is the Director of the NIHR Royal Brompton CRF and Lead for Cluster B of the NIHR CRN.
