Dr. Scott Donaldson received his M.D. from the University of Michigan in 1990. From there, he received residency training in internal medicine at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (1990-93), and completed a pulmonary and critical care fellowship at UNC-Chapel Hill (1993-96). He is the Director of the Adult CF Center, Pulmonary Clinic, and co-Director of the Therapeutic Development Center at UNC. He serves on multiple committees and is Chair of the Clinical Research Advisory Board, which reports to the CFF Clinical Research Executive Committee. His research is focused on the development of outcome measures for clinical trials – especially the measurement of mucociliary clearance – and the development of therapies that modulate ASL volume and mucus clearance.
